The "Exchange Rate" is similar to the spot prices for precious metals, except it has a "buy" and "sell" rate. The buy rate is always 2% higher and the sell rate is always 2% lower than the posted rate. These are the same rates as posted by our bank.

For example if you were buying US dollars at a posted exchange rate of 1.2504 it would actually cost 1.2704. Similarly when you sell at a posted exchange rate of 1.2504, you would actually get paid at a rate of 1.2304.
